Surah Ibrahim Ayat 37 Translation Tafseer

Para 13 - وَ مَاۤ اُبَرِّئُ

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

14.37

رَبَّنَاۤ اِنِّیْۤ اَسْكَنْتُ مِنْ ذُرِّیَّتِیْ بِوَادٍ غَیْرِ ذِیْ زَرْعٍ عِنْدَ بَیْتِكَ الْمُحَرَّمِۙ -رَبَّنَا لِیُقِیْمُوا الصَّلٰوةَ فَاجْعَلْ اَفْىٕدَةً مِّنَ النَّاسِ تَهْوِیْۤ اِلَیْهِمْ وَ ارْزُقْهُمْ مِّنَ الثَّمَرٰتِ لَعَلَّهُمْ یَشْكُرُوْنَ(37)

Kanz-ul-Irfan

O Lord of ours! I have made some of my progeny settle in a barren valley near Your Sacred House, O our Lord, that they establish the prayer, so make the hearts of the people inclined to them and grant them sustenance of fruits that they may be grateful.[1]

Commentary

Prophet Ibrāhīm عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلَام left the noble Hājirah رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَنْھَا and Ismāʿīl عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلَام in the Sacred Vicinity (Makkah) after the event of being cast into the fire by Namrūd. In that incident, Prophet Ibrāhīm عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلَام chose not to supplicate, but during this experience, he supplicated and expressed humility.
